Problem with variable string lengths
« on: November 27, 2017, 03:42:23 PM »
Hello!  I have a bit of an issue on my actual display even though it renders correctly in XLights.

The problem is related to lights connected to a SanDevices E682.  I have one of the groups configured with 112 lights per string.  Lets call it Group 3.

String 3-1 has 112 lights (Works fine)
String 3-2 has 80 lights (Works fine)
String 3-3 has 80 lights (problem)
String 3-4 has 80 lights (problem

My issues are with 3-3 and 3-4, they don't render the proper colors.

3-2 is set to start at the end of model for 3-1 and it works.
3-3 is set to start at the end of model for 3-2 with a start channel of 96.

I used 96 because there are 32 less pixels (112-80) and 3 channels per pixel.

I did the same thing for 3-4, but those are the ones not working.

Any clue what I did wrong?

Thanks!

Shouldn't it start at a multiple of 3+1

Without any more details it is impossible to be sure.

Ahh, that would make sense, since the default is 1.  I probably should have made it 97.  I'll test that now.

Thanks!

That fixed the problem, thanks!

I have a follow-up question.  When you make a change to a model, it doesn't always seem to reflect right away in the sequence.  I tend to shut down the program and restart it.  Is there an easier way to make sure everything is up-to-date?

Render all.
