matrix mirrored
« on: October 22, 2017, 10:40:04 PM »
I have a 24x50 matrix, when playing a sequence, it is like the matrix is split into 2 24x25 matrix, mirrored. Here is screen shots of my set up.

Not exactly sure,
Just looked at setup, why do have  the length as 100 pixels and also 50 pix?

Why not setup each universe for two strings (as each only has 100 pix in total)
Thus use only half of the settings and each setup would be start:1-1  100 pix  u2:ch1,  1-2  100 pix  u4:ch1,
1-3 100 pix u6:ch1.... etc
And change the setup tab in Xl to reflect the actual number of channels per universe,
start u2  ch300, u3 ch300, u4 ch 300, ......etc
Cheers and hopes this makes sense and helps

pps shouldn't need to have zig in their either as node layout should reflect the real world ie left to right for each string

Strings are only 50 pixels each, i have 24 strings and only 16 outputs, so i have no choice but to zig zag 8 of the ports.

Seems like if you are going to zig-zag you would just do it for the entire tree.

It is a 24x50 matrix. The zig zag does not explain why the matrix is acting like 2 24x25 matrix.

I don't have enough info to help.  You haven't explained how you wired up the strings.  Draw a picture.  Take a photo of what this mirrored matrix looks like.  You didn't say how you are playing the data.  You sure it's been re-rendered?

I can now confirm, this is not a nutcracker or xlights issue like previously thought. I was able to play the sequence just fine through xlights, this has to be a Raspberry Pi problem.
