Butterfly Effect First Pixel
« on: November 05, 2017, 07:12:01 PM »
I don't know if this is a bug or the norm but running the latest xLights version 2017.34 64bit on a Mac the first pixel of any model I put the butterfly effect on essentially stays on with a single color which I have no control over.  I can post a screencast if this is not reproducible.  This happens on every model and I'm seeing it in both xLights and on my actual display when I send it.  I can make it stop when I change Bkgrd Chunks from 1 (default) to 2...but 2 is not the effect I want :) Please let me know if it is me or if this is a bug, or if you need more from me.  Thanks!

Hmmm.  Ok.  Wonder why I never noticed before :) I guess my next question then, is it supposed to do that?  I'm sure I'm not the first who has noticed or reported it.  It's very obvious on my display and now that I've noticed it I cannot stop it from sticking out to me :)

Thanks for the quick responses Keith.  Upon further investigation it seems it only looks odd on a single line model.  If I put it on my matrix, as an example, it is clear why a single pixel stays the way it does...clearly the result of the model type and effect combination.  Thanks again!

the butterfly equation has always done this  as keith said. It used to be the first node was always off. I fixed that to be always RED about 4 years ago,
