Make render order change persistent across all sequences

Is there a way to modify the render order of the master view and have it persist across all serquences?  I can't figure out how.  When creating a new sequence, where does the order come from?

I created a copy, ordered it the way I wanted and saved it.  Now I can click it and select "make master" in each sequence.  Is this best practice?

The master view is the only one that's not really a view.  Master View means "a view of the models in just this sequence" a.k.a. the view that is the master for that sequence.  All other views are global to the show directory.  So you should create a view of the order you want and when you create a new sequence you can select that view in the new sequence wizard and guarantee that you always get the render order you want.
