You can create a LOR sequence with no effects on channels say 1-8, but rgb effects on channels 9-24.
When you convert the LOR file to NC, you may or may not want channels 1-8 that are empty to be mapped to NC channels.
If you don't map them, then channels 9-24 in the LOR sequence will become channels 1-16 in the NC sequence.
If you do map those empty channels, then the NC sequence will have 24 channels with 1-8 empty.
