SOLVED - Assistance with virtual matrix setup
« on: October 15, 2017, 06:59:10 PM »
Just wondering if there is a video or guide on setting up a virtual matrix. I am going to use a FPP using the HDMI out of a Pi and include in xlights. I just can’t seem to understand what needs to go where. I have created the model in xlights but not sure of the settings required. I also need assistance with the FPP setup as well. If anyone has anything prepared or a link to a video would be appreciated.  I do have a BBB if that’s the easier way to set it up.

Thanks

Brad

I did one before and I don't remember anything difficult.  I just looked at the FPP and figured it out.  In xLights its nothing magical....just create a matrix.  In FPP just set it up like you would to run any matrix with E1.31 and then find the virtual matrix settings and tell it the start channel.

Got the virtual matrix working yesterday.  Found the FPP manual which has a section on setting up the virtual matrix.  I think I had my start location set wrong.
