First off I just got back into doing a light show and this year was small as I am starting over again.
Most of the show was static except on element, that is 4 Circles. I helped Brian with making the first circles for him to video some Superstar sequences back in 2009 I believe.
Had to make new circles this time as I sold the original ones.
I had some old S4 sequences with my DMX Universe assignments for the circles, they were on DMX 2-4, these used the LOR CCR's so each ribbon was on a separate Universe. Yes I do understand today I can have all 4 on one Universe but did not want to go through the time to change the configuration.
So I striped do the S4 configuration file to only include 2 elements, the 4 Circles and 10 Coro Trees on Universe 1.
In XLights I setup the same mapping and did the import XLights and it went well with a few hiccups. The Xlights visualizer showed the circles where displaying the circles and looked good, then connected the actual circles and it worked also.
Well this past Sunday as playing around with Xlights, trying to come up to speed on all the new goodies adding in the last 5 years and noticed the circle patterns looked odd, I was late this season and had the show up and running 10 days before Christmas.
Went back and looked at some of the sequences in S4 again and they looked different and what I remembered what the patterns looked like in the songs.
Opened up Xlight again and played it again and it looked like a mirrored image. So in XLights I changed the Universes from 2-5 to 5-2 and then replayed all the sequences and they matched the S4 sequences.
Sorry I did not video anything as I thought it was running OK and the display in put away.
