Baffeled
« on: November 16, 2014, 06:24:45 AM »
Baffled, I am having a weird issue, I converted my Lor seq to a xseq, saved it, when I go to preview and hit play the lights outside do not even come close to what lor seq looks like, instead of red house lights I get green, instead of blue I get white, this is really weird. I used xlights last year with my lor stuff in lor, this year I went with an E1-31 set everything up in xlights, changed all my lor stuff to Dmx, wanting to run everything with Xlights, here is my set up, I made a cross over cable and am using a trendnet hub any ideas would be helpful, thx.

I use mostly Falcon pixel controllers and they don't seem to mind, but since you are using 510 as a universe size, I'll assume SanDevices for you.

As such, look at the Start channel numbers you use. They all start with a number divisible by 3. That makes them Blue (RGB - 123) instead of Red

Try changing the start numbers by adding 1 to them.  240 becomes 241, 242, 243, ...  That restores the 1,2,3 order needed by SanDevices.

Or, change your first entry so that it ends on a multiple of 3 (240, not 239)

Go to the test tab and scroll down to the start of each model. Do they start on the beginning of an absolute node number? If they don't, colors will display wrong on preview. This will not change the actual lights. If u have an effect with red and black bars. It will look correct in nutcracker prview, it will output correctly to your lights, but is shows green and black in the preview. Check the start channel of the model. They must be in multiples of three to display in preview correctly.

Hey Sean the problem is not with the pixels it is with the Ac channels and leds I don't have my Lor stuff in the preveiw tab at all, I thought I would run a test seq to see what the gatage looks like, that is n I discovered that the lights are not in the right order.

i am not sure why you are showing me E1.31 universe universe 6.

Your LOR channels are in the first 239 channels.

Remember our absolute channels get converted into a e1.31 universe and channel offset before we send data to the  controllers.

"Lor stuff should be at the top?"

go look at channels 1-239.
send a screen shot of that.

If you have no assigned models you see the format "Net xx channel yy".

I seem to recall that you stated in another post that Dave had overcome this problem with his whole house creation button.  I was going to go thru all my channel configs and make changes where needed until I saw that comment in some other thread.  Now I am confused.  I know that this must be done for the xlights (select all) test function but was pretty sure this was not required for whole house model automated creation.
