Copy and paste query
« on: April 30, 2018, 07:12:50 PM »
I have a query/clarification on bulk copy and paste(mac version).  I highlight a selection of effects (timing marks off) by clicking and dragging the box (start top left and drag to bottom right) around the effects I want to copy.  I copy then click in the at the location that I want to paste the bulk.  When it pastes it puts the top right effect at the location and works backwards and down. Is that correct?

The attached shows (sorry if they are out of order) highlighting the effects, marking the location to paste, then the paste outcome.

The way paste works is the first effect on the top row is the reference point so yes that's how it's supposed to work.  There's been times I wanted exact placement and I'll drop a temporary effect at the start of the top row just so it locks in the reference point.  Then I can paste and select everything I pasted and drag it back till that top effect hits the left wall and I know I got a perfect paste alignment.

Thanks Gil - makes sense.  Just need to remember that next time I paste.
