Effect masking between tracks
« on: June 08, 2018, 10:34:37 AM »
So currently I have a section of a song where i want the entire house to flash white. To make it easier for me i created a group where all elements are included called "House". This means that I can just apply a On effect on that track that ends with 0 in End Intensity. This work great. I then found out that I actually want my mega trees to do something a bit different and applied a Fill effect on it with come curves on it.

The problem is that my On effect on my "House" track is masking my Fill effect on the "Tree" track. How can I make my Fill effect a priority so the Fill effect on the "Tree" track masks the On effect on my "House" track? Or do I need to apply my On effect to all my tracks independently?

I'm sorry if this have been asked before (seems simple). I have just failed to find any solutions on the web so far.

Effects are applied Top to Bottom based on the order of the models in the Master View.  So when you expand a group and put an effect on a model the order is not determined by where that model displays in that group its based on where that model shows up in relation to the group in the Master View.

Note:  Every sequence has it's own Master View so if you want to have a consistent render order you should create a View like "Everything" and set the render order how you want it then choose that View when creating new sequences.
