Megatree Signature effect
« on: June 27, 2018, 05:53:31 PM »
So many people have this signature effect on their mega tree... it's like a dancing ribbon. Similar to this, 53 seconds into Sean's video, https://vimeo.com/192650790. What effect do you begin with ?
Grateful for the support,
Michael

I looked at wave but it doesn't start at the top. The one I'm looking for starts at the top of your Mega tree and ribbons down. In this video, 1:15, https://vimeo.com/195356120
Grateful for the support,
Michael

Have you tried the lightning effect?

Did you try going into  shared presets and look up double spiral when you look at that and it will tell you how it's done

It looks like a simple Spirals effect to me.  She has a few of them stacked in layers and offset in time based on what I see in the video around 1:15.

Wave effect like Keith said, but rotate the buffer 90 degrees on the layer settings window.

Yep.  I was trying to test it and kept trying to use rotozoom and it looked terrible no matter which axis I tried.  Took awhile to notice the transformations drop-down.
