Hey All,
I've always used HLS to do my display....lots of wire frames.... I output the HLS and convert it in XL/NC to FSEQ to use on an FPP.... So I've never used an FSEQ file straight from a XL/NC sequence on my FPP. I've never done an output directly from XL/NC either.
This year I've got some new sequences that aren't using wireframes (yeah I know I can do AC in XL/NC...I just find HLS easier to use for AC probably because I've been using it so long I know my way around it better) so I thought I'd go exclusively with XL/NC and not have to go through all the conversions between HLS and XL/NC
So.....Since my display is packed away and I can't really test right now I was wondering about the "Output to lights" icon in XL/NC in regards to the FSEQ generated by XL/NC...... Do I need to select the little bulb icon to activate "output to lights" BEFORE I save to create the FSEQ file or can I just ignore the "output to lights" step and just go with the FSEQ file created without ticking the bulb to on?
If the display was up I could test easily enough...but I'm trying to get everything ready now....don't want to have to go back and tinker with and change all my sequences the first night of the show...
Thanks....
