AC effects won't work
« on: September 09, 2018, 10:00:50 PM »
Hey All,

UPDATE: Disregard the problem mentioned below.  I reinstalled 2018.33 and created a new sequence and it now works....the old sequence previously created seems 'broken' though.....

I'm using 2018.33 Windows 10 with 64bit and 25ms timing for the sequence.....and I can't seem to get my AC channels to work.  I was using them in 2018.31 and they worked fine...don't remember using them in  2018.32 or not....

When I try to click to place an AC event (on...ramp) it won't click into place.  Not sure if this is a bug or some switch or selection needs to be activated in the newer version that I've missed.

I also noticed that even regular pixel effects are less easy to place in a specific location....  You click on a location and quite often it places the effect to the right of the cursor....I can get it to place in the proper place by usually clicking several times to highlight the correct location before entering it....  It also now blocks out an entire second for the effect to be placed..... I don't recall that happening before now....

Thanks....

You need to show a video because a text description like that leaves out way too many options.  For instance we have no idea if you have timings activated when you are clicking to place effects.

Thanks Gil....

Your comment pointed me in the right direction....  I had added a new 'timing' to give me a 25ms grid to precisely place my AC effect....  For whatever reason the radio buttons for both timings were 'ticked'.....  I went back and made sure only the new timing was 'ticked' and it worked perfectly...

Not sure how both got 'ticked'.....that usually doesn't happen when I add another timing grid....

Thanks again prodding me on where to look!  I learn every time you help and it is greatly appreciated...

Yes the ability to check more than one timing track was really a bug but several users liked the ability to activate and see multiple timings so we left it in.  The side effect is only the first selected timing track is the one that is active for cell selection.
