How do I delete effects that are on the nodes of a strand???
« on: November 01, 2018, 07:59:38 PM »
I created a model Mega Tree 270 deg, 16 strings, 2 strands per string. So they show up in the sequencer as 32 strands as I wanted. I had to map every single node to be able to import LOR sequences properly. but now I noticed that the only effect that isn't importing properly is the shimmer effect, it comes across as all white and does not shimmer. At first I thought no big deal I will just delete those portions and re-add the shimmer effect from X-Lights. Problems is that when it was imported, all of the effects were put on the nodes of each strand which hides them until you open the strand.

So my question is, is there a way to delete the effects that are on the nodes of a strand without opening every strand?  I know that doesn't sound like a lot of work but it is affecting all of my RGB props not just my mega tree.

Before you go thru all of that, have you tried to render all?  That might make it shimmer properly.

Right click. Show all effects.

Unselect timing track then click and crave to select the effects and press delete key to delete them.

Yes I did render first, unfortunately that did not help, but thanks for the suggestion.

Thanks keithsw1111 that really helps a lot. But I can still only do a page at a time. Is there a way to make the mouse click and drag also scroll the page like most other programs do?

OK I kind of answered my own question. I figured out that clicking and dragging to the right only gets me one page at a time horizontally but if I click and drag to highlight what I need horizontally and keep holding down the mouse button I can use the mouse scroll wheel to scroll the page vertically and speed things up.

If you want to remove all effects on a model go to display elements and remove the model from your master view and then add it back. All effects gone

Thanks, That would work but I was only wanting to remove the effects from certain portions of the song. Your first suggestion worked once I figured out how to scroll vertically.
Thanks again.

You should be able to select a cell and then scroll vertically and shift select another cell to select a block of cells.
