Channels do not convert correctly
« on: November 21, 2014, 10:27:23 AM »
I have 4 universes that I use for my mini pixel trees. There are 50 pixels for the tree and 5 for the star, all times 12. That is 495 channels per universe.

I have the trees set up  as models without the stars.   I have the correct starting address (skipping the stars) and it plays back fine in Preview on all 12 trees.  However when I "Export" the channels shift to include the stars. However when I "Export" the channels shift and effects are sent to the stars when there should be none.  Very repeatable..

Any thoughts?

Did you check the box for blank channels?

I am not sure what you meant by that?  did I check what box for blank channels?

The star pixels are at the end of the strings.  I allow for those blanks by the start ch. number,  As in I started 15 channels after the end of the previous sting.  That allowed for the 5 pixels in the stars.. They play fine on xlights. It is when I export them that the problem shows up..

Why won't this window keep up with my typing.. aarrrggghhhh..   LOL

Sorry - wrong term.

On the Convert tab, there is a box for "Map Empty LMS Channels"  (from memory, I thought it was "blank channels")

Try it with it checked. If it is checked, try it without.

Guys..  Most people start with LOR and Convert to XL/NC

As I read this he is starting in XL/NC and EXPORTING to LOR.

Correct Craig?

Sorry - I was in "convert" mode from LOR to xlights. I'll go back to sleep now. :(

Yes, that is correct.  I use LOR for my show control.  I am trying to Export to a .lcb file

I tried the convert and it does the same thing..

Are you doing
Ëxport", no matter models you have thsi exports every channel defined in the SETUP tab
Ëxport Model"Only exports the channels for the model you selected

I was trying to use Export because I wanted all the models to export at the same time.  I figured a work around.. I am going to add a track just to import the Exported clipboards..   That will hopefully do it for me.
