xSchedule Auto Start in Windows
« on: November 23, 2018, 04:01:58 PM »
I know there are many different ways to make xSchedule auto start or even run as a service in Windows, but I was wondering if there were any suggested methods that others are using?  Running it as a service wouldn't require logging but you can also configure the machine to automatically log in.  I also don't know how sound would work in either of these options.  So I'm just looking for others thoughts here as I'd like my show to continue working when I have a power outage or if Windows crashes for some strange reason and reboots.

By the way, I am using this way currently and it seems to be working ok.  I don't have to log in or anything and it starts up.  I just don't know how it knows which "windows", not "xlights", volume level to use as I though that was user specific and this seems to run more as a service than under a specific user name since it's starting without me logging in.  Just curious how it knows the user environment to be running under.  Maybe someone knows that.
