Trim dead air at end of sequence
« on: December 05, 2018, 03:41:37 PM »
So we have several songs in this year's show that have a fairly long section of dead air at the end of them where the majority of lights are turned off. I know in audacity I can trim this dead air to 500 milliseconds, but is there an easy way to trim the xLights sequence file?

I know I can go to Settings -> Sequence Settings -> Sequence Duration but that only seems to change the duration all of the effects that went into the dead air still go into the dead air.

Thanks,
Richard

Any effects that overlap the duration limit get cutoff in the data so we don't bother trying to change their size.  It's ok to extend effects past the end it doesn't hurt anything.

Just gives you a bunch of warnings in check sequence.  LOL  But they are only warnings.

Thanks, that is what I had assumed but wasn't sure and didn't want to push a bunch of sequences that might not have done what I wanted.

Haha I don't think I've ever run it on my own stuff.

Is there a key shortcut to extend an effect to the end of the sequence? Ctrl + > moves it to the end..
