New user (coming from Vixen)
« on: December 09, 2018, 09:57:53 AM »
Hey guys,

I've spent some time setting up my setup and layout on Xlights.  Its quite different than Vixen.   Here are my questions:

1. If I make a change in my setup or layout do all my sequences adjust?
2. Are sequence views specific for each sequence?  I want to have a universal view for all new sequences since the master view is too complex to sequence with
3. I can't seem to figure out how to shift an set of effects across multiple elements (I guess xlights calls them models).  Vixen is very easy to drag, move, copy, overlap, adjust.

Thanks!

1.  Yes. You just need to rerender them.

2.  Yes. And you can drop models from the master view if you won’t be sequencing on them directly.

3. I am not really sure what you mean here. Vixen and xlights behave differently here. Xlights forces you to manage the layers more manually. Moving between models is also not done with drag and drop.
