Star won't run in my sequence.
« on: December 05, 2018, 12:54:49 PM »
Put together an animated sequence using xlights 2018.47 for my 32 string mega tree, 50 nodes per string, E682 controller run by a Raspberry Pi 3B+. Sequence runs fine on the computer and fine in my show. I added a star to the tree and added it in my sequence on the computer. The sequence runs fine on the computer, star and all. The star does not run in my show. I have checked everything that I know to check and can't find the problem. I exported my models in a csv file and it shows everything I had set up except on the star it shows the controller type as unknown. I tried starting from scratch, set up the controller, set up the models and did a new sequence, the results are the same. I'm sure I'm missing a key input somewhere but I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks for your time.

If controller is blank it means it isn’t mapped to an output so xlights does not know where to send the data to.

Thanks Keith. I managed to get the correct settings so the controller was identified, still no action in my show for the star. I tried numerous settings in xlights and didn't anything make a difference. I decided to go back to square one and check all my settings in xlights, fpp and my e682 controller. Turns out I failed to change the pixel numbers on the controller in the last string set up which is where I added the star. I'm new to all this and it has been quite a learning experience, enjoyable, but frustrating at times. I'm just hoping that I can remember these little tidbits when I need to. Thanks again for your time.
