Xlights SanDevices E682 mapping ports help?
« on: December 10, 2018, 08:36:17 AM »
Hey

so I am trying out Xlights for the first time and am having trouble getting the controller mapped correctly.

I am starting with 8 strings of Ge Coloreffects lights of varying lengths. connected to ports 1-1 to 2-4.

I have 3 universes defined to cover the addresses. this was the way I did it last few years using Vixen. In the past I had to make sure each port was set to the longest string on the E682. so Port 1 is 35, port 2 is 53. I have set up Xlight with same numbers to make sure enough universes to cover the extra nodes.

the problem I am having is I can not get Xlights to map to other ports. when I look at the nodes it shows everything on port 1-1 or 2-2 depending what port I select.

Clearly I am missing something small here to make it work....

Best advice jump into zoom and they will walk you through it. There are folks in there all day.

Failing that need to see images of controller config setup tab and model properties to see where it is wrong.
