We are building an outdoor ice rink for my son after Christmas. My wife thinks it would be a good idea to re-purpose the P10 panel into a scoreboard for the rink...
I have no idea how to drive the P10's outside of xLights/xSchedule, so if there is a better, more obvious solution please don't hesitate to point me in a different direction.
My thought is in xSchdule to define the P10 as the matrix and run a fseq that has all the outlines and graphics that define the scoreboard.
Then create three text fields one named Home and one named Away. The third would be a countdown timer.
I watched the video on the ability to use an API to change the text and I think changing the value of "Home" would update the home score and same for the "Away".
Assuming that much is doable and that I'm on the right path... What is out there to use as an interface with the API? I'm not a techie by any means so I was hoping there was something already available that I could put together that would talk to xLights from say a tablet, button, etc...? If not, any hints on where to learn how to put something together?
I realize this is a bit off topic from the norm... But I'm hoping everyone's shows are already running smoothly and a little diversion can be entertained.
Thanks!!
