Whole House Model displaying all strings as RGB
« on: November 23, 2014, 09:13:04 PM »
I got my most of my lights up this weekend and was playing around with the whole house model. It looks very cool! Thanks again for this Dave and Sean!

I've come across one small issue. Most of my lights are RGB which display fine but a few are RBG (rectangles) BGR (technicolor pixels), which display incorrectly, example: blue for green when displaying using the whole house model. If I use the individuals models, everything displays as it should.

Anybody else come across this?

The whole house model is ONE model.

Just as an eave, roofline, tree are models, and may have RBG or BRG elements, the models themselves always have only one color mode (RGB, BRG,RBG,)

I believe the preview will look funky if not all elements are RGB, but the actual output will be ok.

It works for me with RGB and RBG elements mixed in my WHM when I output to lights.

Got it. Thanks!

My previews looks fine, it's the output that's off. I must have programmed my controllers incorrectly and have used the individual models to correct. I can reprogram some of them but I've got a couple of SSC V4's I can't reach. Oh well...

For next year. FalconChristmas has SSCv4 firmware that lets you program them in place without removing jumpers. That is how I program all my SSC's. I just put them where I want and program in place.

I knew about that and considered doing it but since the Falcon programmer doesn't play nice on my XP laptop (my shop machine) I decided against it. Kicking myself now!
