A submodel stepper effect
« on: August 18, 2018, 05:12:42 AM »
I'm sure I'm not alone in having numerous submodels of certain models and sequence the submodels to light one after the other for a prescribed period of time, mimicking motion. For example, I have a 10 foot mega tree with 8 vertical slices of 4 strands each. I sequenced each vertical to light one after the other starting from one edge to the other.
An effect where you could select 2-10 submodels, have them light up and then move to next one and either turn off the previous or remain on.
So I see a effect box where you would select submodels in an order (top to bottom) that could be re-ordered. Then length of time or cycles for each submodel to remain on before going to the next, and if the previous turns off or remains on for full cycle of all submodels.
COould be applied to horizontal slices of a model as well, or concentric rings or however the user has made submodels.

There is a mode in vumeter that will kind of do that.

Maybe put submodels in a group and use model as a pixel and then vumeter with the first slider set to the number of models.
