Bars Effect "Up" Direction Not Working in Arches
« on: October 21, 2019, 06:51:22 PM »
Hi,

So this is year 4 for me.  I'm adding a few extra arches this year and rebuilding two older ones.  Each arch has 150 nodes in it.  I'm using the AlphaPix 16 controler and each arch is dedicated to a single output with power injection.

For some reason the bar effects are having issues and I can't figure out why.  They go left and right fine, but up and down bar effects are not working correctly.  They go all the way across.

You may need more info, just let me know what.

Xlights sees an arch by default as a straight horizontal line internally, not as the arch you see on the screen.  If you are using the "default" render style, it will perform like you said.  If you want it to do like on screen, change the render style to "per preview."

Set render buffer to per preview.

thanks all I got it fixed.  I checked the render per preview and was good there.  At the end...it was a stupid mistake (as they usually are).  Amazing what sleep will do.  My old arches I was using 60/60 strips.  These are less, but programmed them as 60/60.  Thus the issue.

Sorry to waste your time.  Thanks though!
