Rendering
« on: November 25, 2019, 10:44:39 AM »
I have two sequences saved to different names with the same setup and layout files.  Every time I switch from one sequence to the other, I have to do a new render in order to see the model.  Is this normal?  Will not having a rendering affect the actual light sequence?
Thanks for any help.

It shouldn't be that way.  It has me wondering now that we have V2 FSEQ formats with compression is xLights able to open them to read in the FSEQ data when it opens a sequence.  That's how we get the initial data is to read it right from the file you would play in FPP.

As a test you could switch the setting to V1 FSEQ format and see if it still happens and a full render, save, and re-opening.

Do you do a render and then hit the save button before going to the other one?  Seems like that seems to solve that problem for many.

If you dont save the sequence then the FSEQ is not written to disk which means next time you open it the data will not be up to date.
