2 Questions re new Controller setup

My controller has a name limit of only 16 Characters, whereas xLights is much longer.
Q1. does this have any adverse effect, apart from the name being cutoff in the controller?

Q2. If you have multiple props off the same port and for whatever reason you set brightness on each prop to a different level, does this cause issues and which one is accepted by the controller (I'm assuming the first one)?

For controllers that support virtual strings it will split them. If they don?t then it takes the first I think.
