Can multiple instances of Xlights run concurrently?

I find myself installing/programming/maintaining Megatrees in 2 different locations.  Is there a way to set up or run two instances of Xlights (either singly or concurrently?)   Can I install a second copy of the program that points to a different show directory?

You can run two instances but they will not really be separate.  There is only one registry location to store the current show folder location so typically the only safe things to do are opening up another instance just to copy some effects but don't be making layout changes or anything that writes to the show setup files.
