letting xlights reaarange my universe locations
« on: December 09, 2020, 06:19:44 PM »
I currently have a Falcon Player running my show that has the first 16 universes on it from a Falcon v3 (some RGB some DMX).
I have a matrix running the next 16.
This year I changed my megatree from DMX AC lights to RGB, so I added a Falcon V3 and let Xlights setup the universes.  Worked great.

When I check the sequence I get some warnings about the order of universes
I don't want to change until after the season, but wanted some guidance on what I should do?  Will it impact me???

Love the new features of xlights and even though I have done this for years in DMX, I am still a newbie with Xlights, the Falcon products, and pixels.

Have a great night!

I am not so sure about the latest firmware but the old falcon firmware did not like out of order universes. This is not such a problem if your outputs dont span those out of order universes but if they do the result will not be what you expect.

thanks for the reply!

Currently my universes and props do not span the different controllers, they are all walled off.  Actually, even my Raspberry PI that is running my matrix is running standalone so.....

I could actually let it remap my two falcon v3's and worry about the universe/channel overlap  after the season, couldn't I?

Just leave the matrix stand alone, remap on my main show, and then bring the matrix into the mix after the season is over?

Any input appreciated!
