My Matrix Version Controller (shows sequence render date) is working fine but I did not use DISCOVER to find it. It sends data to a PiCap which drives an 11x44 Led Matrix with E1.31 (3 Universes) at a fixed channel address.
I used DISCOVER to find the remaining (2) Pi Matrix Controllers. See photo below before I used the SAVE function. Notice both Matrix 1 & 2 Pi controllers have 691,200 channels assigned.
Once I SAVED, both Matrix Controllers have only 1 channel assigned. See Photo below. Also note in the Xschedule Controller photo, before SAVE, it didn't have any Models listed but after I SAVE, it has "Matrix1" listed as one of its models.
After DISCOVER, both Matrix 1 and Matrix 2 Pi Controllers had their MODE changed from "Remote (Player)" to "Bridged". When I changed the MODE back to Player (Remote) both Matrix Pi Controllers started playing HDMI Video BUT, both played the same Effect that was assigned (and rendered) as Matrix 2. I used a different Effect for Matrix 1 that never displayed.
Also, I was hoping I could output HDMI from the PI at 720p (1280x720) but I cannot set the Pi Virtual Output Display to a Width greater than 999. Instead I am using half resolution at 640 x 360. Is this a limitation of the Pi or FPP software or xlights that may be fixed in the future?
Thanks again for this terrific software. It is bringing smiles to a lot of faces!
All the best and stay healthy,
Doug
