New Smart Receiver Model Settings

Trying to understand the values "Cascade On Port" check box and "Max Cascade Remotes" spinner.

Say I have Smart Remote A then Smart Remote B then Smart Remote C.

For a model on Smart Remote A I assume I tick the "Cascade On Port" check box and set "Max Cascade Remotes" to 2, is that correct?  For a model on Smart Remote B is "Max Cascade Remotes" now set to 1 and "Cascade On Port" ticked?

Cascade on port means if you have multiple smart remotes the strings will be assigned to 1a 1b 1c. Without cascade it will do 1a 2a 3a.
