Yet another version of Wizards in Winter
« on: December 26, 2014, 10:26:08 PM »
I finally succumbed to pressure and sequenced Wizards in Winter for my display this year. My version is based on twooly's megatree sequence supplemented with effects from Steve Case's Effects Gallery - thanks guys! This year's display consists about 12K channels: 1 megatree, 2 stars, 2 starbursts, 2 sets of arches, soffit lights, deck lights, and various DMX elements including "salmon swimming up river" display - it's a west coast thing...

I have a big yard with large shrubs, so it's difficult to capture the sequence from one camera angle, so here's a video that combines several views: https://vimeo.com/115458551

A little late for this year but if you are interested in using it next year, the various assets can be found below.

A BIG thanks to Sean and the XL/NC developers, who kept me on my toes and forced me to up my game once again this year.

That is cool! I really likes the effects on the megatree.

you gave exactly what was needed to share a sequence
xlights_rgbeffects.xml
{sequence}.xml

i created 48 universes in the SETUP tab to get enough channels
i brought over the wizards mp3 file. Did a 3rd file open
gave mp3 file and your xml file.

total time 2-3 minutes and i had your show in PREVIEW.

I agree this is a great version and my style of sequencing.

For my taste, sequencing at the phrase interval or every 4 bars is more pleasing to the eye than on every note.
You used Garlands to fill much longer than I would have tried and it looks great.

Well done!

Do not ask to know all the answers, but ask to understand the question.

Happy that you like it. And great to hear that it was easy to bring over into your environment.
