v2021-37 start/stop output to lights buttons
« on: November 15, 2021, 06:39:45 AM »
Hello,

I am trying to get my nodemcu working on an 8x32 matrix (wired watts product) through xlights newest version (2021-37? it's scrunched in my about tab).    I followed Scott Hanson's video "new wled support in xlights" without any problems.  I flashed my nodemcu using esp8266 bin files.  I've set everything up, and when I do a test in xlights, the matrix responds perfectly.  When I try to run a sequence, the matrix does nothing.  Using the designated url opens the wled interface and all works fine using the wled effects.

My older version of xlights had a start and stop button which would output the sequence to the lights or turn them off, but I can't see those buttons on the newest version.

Any ideas what I'm missing or what I've done wrong?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

The light bulb is still there .. unless it is off your screen to the right because of font sizing etc.
You can you usually grab the various menus and drag them down to get them visible.

Thanks for your reply.  I closed every window I could and hunted for the hiding buttons but no luck finding them.  Is there a way in the preferences, or the 'view' tab I can make them show?  Seems like it should be simple and it's embarrassing having to ask and most frustrating.

You need to move the Toolbars not any windows or dialogs.  Each toolbar has a handle on the left you can grab to tear it away and then the rest of the toolbar slices to the right will slide in.

Success, I finally found them.  Thanks to both of you for your responses, dragging the handle of the top left toolbar was the fix.  Thanks again.
