Matrix help needed

Hi Folks,

Just found this site the other day. Starting out and I want to try a small matrix and use nutcracker to create effects.
Looking at a section of my house wall that measures 41 inches wide by 39 inches high.
The street is about 40 feet away from the house. I want to try rgb lights (nodes?)
How many strings would I need to make it look good but not break the bank in hardware and lights.

40 ft - distance between pixels should be 2 inches or less. For you dimensions, perhaps 40 across and 30 high? Or 30 by 20?
