Christmas will soon be here!! Finally completed the assembly of the light strings for the Mega tree in the town square and the smaller one on the lake. The Mega tree has:
3200 Pixel lights
256 solder joints
1216' of power injection feed wire
2656' of rope
4800+ 8" plastic ties

Ask me if I would do this again!!

The tree strings are hoisted 8 at a time on a 2" galvanized flagpole with a topper for the extra length and star. No stretch nylon rope. Will deploy early November and see if this works?

What a goat rope! Got it up but one strand was out in the middle so it is only a 31x100 tree now. First year disclosed many design and deployment problems but correctable. When things settle down, I will disclose. Movies are also of the smaller lake tree 16x50 and very easy kinda to construct. The bigger tree was way too much work but quite spectacular.  Picture resolution a slight disappointment. I cannot say enough about Gorilla ToGo tape!

I can't get over the concept of 9600 channel mtree.  Wow.  I'll bet it is totally spectacular.

Even though I am two weekends later than desired getting my display running AND having a lot of problems with internet switches, controllers, etc etc, the one night I got everything up & running and the megatree SPECTACULAR.   The brightness was incredible, the NC effects (ESPECIALLY pinwheel--what an amazing looking effect!!) were great, etc.   We have a fairly small yard (subdivision), so not sure if we can/should add another megatree but we are thinking about it because it is just so amazing.  Would love to put two of them up!!!

Both trees 12' and 25' are certainly attracting people. We usually get 2000 or so cars in 3 weeks but at our current rate we will be over 3000. And next week is the busy one. My driveway is a mess and much wider now. The County even graded and graveled the main roads to the display. /PleasantGroveFarm on Facebook. I plan on adding yard balls and a 12' tree and a 6' tree for next year.
