The short version:
Was there a change in 2024.nn that renders text effects differently when they are pointed to a text file?
Long version:
I have a tune to sign. It has a matrix. I use a text effect to scroll the FM channel and other info across the matrix. Last year I had to change some stuff in the text a couple of times so I put my text in to a file. It made changes easier across all the sequences.
This year I was upgrading some of my 2023 sequences to my 2024 layout. (lots of new props) I noticed that rendering was taking 30 to 40 seconds per old converted song. Then I sequenced the tune to sign in a new sequence and its render time went from 4 seconds to 40 seconds. I had not sequenced the tune to sign yet on my brand new sequences yet. After playing around with the sizing and location of the prop, I changed from a file input to just text in the box. The rendering went back to normal.
Has this always been this way and I just noticed it? Of course the work around is don't use a file. But it would be nice to know.
