Morph question

If I morph top to bottom, left to right, etc etc, the head color will never make it to the end if using 4 colors. If I use 3 colors, then the head color will make it all the way over. Is that how it works, or do I need to tweak some more to get the head color on a 4 color morph to make it all the way across a model?

You do know that with 4 colors the first 2 colors are for the head right?  If you want the head to stay the same color then you either don't use 4 colors or you make the first 2 colors the same.  You only get 2 tail colors.  Is that everyone's confusion?  There is a head start color, head end color, tail start color, and tail end color.   If you choose 1 color the head and tail are always that color.  If you use 2 colors the head is color 1 and the tail is color 2.  If you use 3 colors the head start and end color are color 1, the tail start color is color 2, and the tail end color is color 3.  If you use 4 colors the head will start out at color 1 and morph to color 2 as it moves across and the tail will start with color 3 and morph to color 4.  Also be aware the head can grow, shrink, or stay the same by adjusting the Start Head Length and the End Head Length.  Here's a screenshot of a morph where the head end color is red, color #2, and it just made it all the way to the top of the tree after starting at the bottom.

Is there any way the tail can have more colors? I like to end in black, which makes a nice fade. But if I want two colors on the tail, ending in black isn't an option.

Just curious if this could be a change down the road.

I'll keep that in mind for an enhancement.  But one thing new in the last release is the "Normal" blending mode.  That blend mode supports alpha channels so I modified the Morph so that the 4th color will fade out and do an alpha blend with any layers underneath it.  If you don't want the 4th color to fade then use the "1 Reveals 2" mode.  We are thinking of making changes to blending modes and names because they were geared for only 2 layers so options like Effect 2 and 2 Reveals 1 don't make sense anymore because its really the same thing as reversing the effects on the layers which is easy to do now.

Thanks for the explanation Gil. Your image withe 360 and flat trees is what spurred my question in the first place.

What is new to me is that  Color 1 morphs to Color 2 and color 3 morphs to color 4 while on the move.
THAT I didn't know and will work that intel into the Wiki.
