Which file should be used?

Once a sequence is created and then saved what is the proper file that should be

used to edit the content;  the XML or FSEQ

Does it make a difference?

You normally work with the XML file.  But if you select the FSEQ file we will go find the XML as long as it hasn't been renamed or moved.
