Copy and Paste!!!!
« on: June 28, 2015, 11:41:37 PM »
I just had to say..... I am so happy to have a sequencing program that does copy and paste exactly like it should.
After two years of using LSP and having to do copy and paste twenty times before something would eventually land in the right place, and as a result, blow out the sequencing time to 10 times longer than it should, it is such a absolute joy to be able fire in some effects into XL4 and then be able to subsequently copy and paste those effects perfectly first time into the right place further along the sequence.
So a big thank you to you clever programming people for making what was an absolute frustration in LSP into something so easy in XL4. I realise that copy and paste is probably such a small part of all the great work you have done on this program but believe me, that small part makes such a huge difference when it comes to sequencing.

I second and third and forth that. Such a delightful program to work with AND the team are not finished with enhancements coming all the time.
Great to have the users as the developers. 10 out of 10 from me.

I too agree , but would prefer to give the LSP folks/developers  the benefit of the doubt as to be fair I bought the software just before the freeze on any bug fixes was announced 18 months ago.  And I did use it for my first ever show last year.

Anyway , instead dwell on the positives and speed of xL !

And don't forget the Undo function that Gil has recently added .  I tend do use that a fair bit too :)

After you add or move an effect , right click on the grid , and then you can select the undo.
After that , you can undo the previous action etc. Not sure how far back u can go ...
Note that , you need to render or save for the undo to reflect , unless you drop another effect over the previous one.
So , if I dropped  effect A on the grid , played, did not like it, undo, drop  B  where A was and played , no prob.
But if say I dropped A, did not like it, so undo, and then play, you will still 'see' A playing.
Click on the render button , if u wish to force it right away.

Yes, I didn't mean it to sound like I was bashing LSP. I think the LSP developers have done the right thing by doing a complete rewrite and I'm sure that the copy paste situation will be fixed.
