How many DMX channels in S3

I am adding two AlphaPix 16s to my show this year and a bunch of RGB pixels. I also have two 16 channel LOR controllers. How many pixels can I control with S3 over E1.31 before effects and start to stutter or slow down?

I plan on adding a second network card to my desktop PC to isolate network traffic. Along with using a switch dedicated to my light show. My PC is a brand new Intel i5-4690 CPU with 16 gigabytes of RAM. Also running windows 7 with a Samsung 850 Pro SSD.

Any guesses?

I'd rather help teach you how to run the E1.31 on a Pi and then you can run as many as you can put in your yard.

The wife and I have been sequencing for a few years in LOR. We finally feel pretty comfortable. I would hate to lose her help.

Although I do have a Raspberry Pi, can you point me in the right direction?

I never ran my LOR equipment using E1.31 from S3.  When I switched to E1.31 it was to be able to use the Pi.  Maybe ask on the LOR forum.  Usually people on our forum are trying to get away from LOR or just want to add some of our effects onto their sequences.  I know with the RS485 dongles I needed 2 of them to try to reduce lag even with just 5 CCR's and 3 controllers.  I would expect E1.31 to be better.  The nice thing is you can switch to using a Pi in like 1 day....I did.
