Make a group, add arches to the group.  Apply the effect to the group. Do not check the box next to the model group name on the model groups window.

A group is just a model with different dimensions.

I like to use the Bars effect for chases on groups. Use 2 or more layers.

On layer 1 start the Bars effect Left to Right
On layer 2 start the Bars effect Right to Left before the first effect ends.

If this doesn't work, I can remote session show you how to do it.

The individual arches are ok along with the Group. Since you have the individual arches below the group of arches, any effect on the individual arches will override the group. (This is for now, I believe this may change or we will be given an option for rendering order in the future.)

Just make sure to have no effect on the individual arches when you have an effect on the group.

Drop a morph effect on the group and then use the Quickset dropdown to select "Full Sweep Right".  Then create a second layer place another morph effect.  Align the beginning of the 2nd morph to start right where the head portion of the first morph ends.  Then in the Quickset dropdown select "Full Sweep Left".  The reason you need 2 layers is to stagger them so that the head of the 2nd morph starts to go backwards as soon as the head for the first one hits the end.  At that point the head of the 2nd morph is moving back across while the tail of the first morph is still finishing its motion.  Actually it would probably look best to put the second morph on the top layer to make sure the tail of the first one doesn't hide it.  Which brings up the point that you need to set the blending mode to "Normal".  These days I use Normal for 90% of my work.  It allows alpha blending to show effects in lower layers.

This is really super easy once you see it.  It's just not easy to describe in text.

If you give me your latest setup I'll program up some cool morph action for 30 seconds or so and give it back to you.  Just need your xlights_rgbeffects.xml file.
