I created another short video showing some of the work that Gil and I have been working on:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqYBNUdVJ3Q

It's a bit early and we've already identified some "workflow" changes we may try to make to it, but it should give you an idea of what's taking so long to get 4.1.14 out.   :-)

What about smart strings?  Still looks not optimal if you use smart strings to create your face.  There are times in my display where I want colors to wash across my faces like they are regular models and other times when I want my faces to just be the normal singing faces.  Imagine having the below and how would you do it with what you all are working on?  I can do it with the current papagayo tab but it is very painstaking to select all the channels for each element of the face.

Very nice Dan and Gil !

Cant wait to start using it. Is there any intention to be able to convert / import existing pgo files (or pgo effects already in xlights)  into this ?

Accordingly , I will either wait or look at redoing them..

I haven't looked at the existing papagayo format but I would imagine there should be a way to import them to create the timing tracks.

Gil,

I have attached a PGO file that I recently created and imported into xl.
Personally, I have only done 2-3  in Papagayo, so could redo.
Others may have done more.

THANK YOU!!!!  Been trying to explain this for months in relation to Papagayo and you all nailed it!  So nice to be able to use smart strings and have some songs where they are part of the overall show and for other songs they can be the singing face (with range of nodes for a particular face element).  Thank you!  Very much appreciated.  (Tested it tonight and it worked great!)

I used the new effects for Coro faces and it is very nice !

I had a question on repeated phrases .
Say a song has the same phrases in a chorus and you have aligned the phonemes for the first occurrence of the chorus (4 phrases). Is there a way of copying what you have done and pasting it at the next occurrence of the chorus ?

And if yes , how do you do it - I tried a few options..

Yeah I already identified the copy/paste as a problem.  I told the guys everyone was going to want to be able to copy/paste after adjusting a section that repeats.  The problem is all the copy/paste logic was based on the selecting cells in the grid and using the timing effects to determine placement.  I think you can actually select the timing effects and copy them but we don't provide a mechanism for selecting the paste point.  That needs to be corrected.  I'd need to try it but I think if you actually included one effect on the first row of the grid in your selection that you could use that as an anchor point for the paste.  Might be a possible workaround for now just create a dummy model and put it on the top row.
