trouble with combining 4 matrix into one to scroll text
« on: August 05, 2015, 05:55:44 PM »
I know i am doing something wrong but cant figure it out, and was hoping for help.  each matrix is 26 pixels high and 18 columns wide for a total of 468 pixels per sections.  for the individual models i have it setup as 1 string #of rgb nodes = 468 and #of strand per string as 18.

when i tried to group the 4 sections some effects worked but text didnt and the morph i couldnt use the effects editor.

should i create a group or create a new model with all of them or what? any help would be appreciated.

You can create either a big model or a model group.

The big model will look the best as the model group size is always bigger than the model itself.

The model group now has the "minimal size" option or it will have it in version 4.1.14.

I compiled and tried it. While it is an improvement, I was not completely blown away as I have been with other improvements.  At the low cost of $Free.99 I'm not complaining.

Hi Gil,

Assume that the new setting is now the default value ? Else Tech support will still need to respond :)

No the new option is not the default, at least when I tested it a couple of days ago.

Yeah I'm sure I'll have to add it to my tech support video series. Common Question #37.
