Lightning effect
« on: October 09, 2015, 03:36:35 PM »
Hi

Firstly I do like the new lightning effect.
Was something I was looking at doing for Halloween...

I have had a play but is there any way to make it flash horizontally rather than vertically?
I am looking to use a 15x35 horizontal matrix and would like to get it to go from top left to bottom right

Cheers

+1 on the horizontal or corner to corner position.

Even starting at one point along the top and end at another (not opposite) position on the bottom would be cool.

You can change the x and y coordinate pairs and this gives you an angular lightening bolt ?

I tried changing the coordinates and was unsuccessful getting that horizontal effect. Not that I spent a lot of time on it but it didn't seem to change anything but horizontally (x) and nothing in the vertical (y) direction.

Wasn't what I was expecting.  I thought lightning would branch out.  I must be doing it wrong cause all I get is a single laser and if I change the settings I can make it squiggle on the way down.

Is there a setting that will result in no horizontal movement?   I have varied the horizontal movement slider from hard negative to zero to hard positive, and all seem to result in horizontal movement.  I just want that sucker to flash!!!    Thx.
