what computer to use

if you where to buy a new computer what would it be. I am ready to purchase a new computer and not computer savvy and need guidance. give specifics IE brand name and all other related stuff.

If it's to run the show get a raspberry Pi and use FPP.

If you want a computer that will last and be reliable then get a Mac.

If you can't afford a Mac then you probably want a name brand like Dell.

It also depends on whether you want a desktop or notebook as to some of the features.

However if you are getting Windows based system get one with either an i5 or i7 processor depending on your budget.

Get as large of a disk drive as you can find or afford.

Lastly get as much RAM memory as possible. Most systems come with a minimum amount installed and you have to get additional RAM installed. A desktop can usually have more RAM capacity than a desktop.

If you get a notebook, no less than a 15" screen, I have a 17" and it is great, again it depends on what your budget can stand.
