Led light supplier
« on: January 10, 2016, 09:40:21 AM »
After going around trying to find a good light supplier I think I have one. PIxel Sequencing by Aubuchon Lights. The are located in the US that's makes the shipping cost very reasonable. At this time they have a sale going on until the end of the month. I ordered a few sets last night to see how this goes. So far the lights were 2 dollars more than RayWu per strip but the shipping was 25 dollars cheaper, that was for 2 day priority mail.  The other was speed.  Again I ordered last night, Saturday at 8pm and this morning had a tracking number and told they would be shipped Monday morning. After talking to them they are going to add some more items to their inventory. Including MeanWell power supplies.  As of now the have a good selection of lights including P10 s.    http://pixelsequencing.mysimplestore.com/

+1, have ordered p10 panels in pre-sale, and 12v bullet pixels which took 2 days to arrive.

He definitely seems eager to please his customers.

Have order from Roger (pixelsequencing.com) as well and couldn't agree more.  Hoping he adds 5v as that what I mainly use but got P10s from him very quick and much cheaper landed price than Ray.

I have 600 2811 nodes from Roger and they work fine, but the spacing is a little short between nodes for me.  I wanted to be able to use them with some Boscoyo mounting strips at 3" spacing and it was pretty tight.  So I put them in my Bocoyo mini trees and they worked fine.  Of course the best part for me is that he only lives about 13 miles from me so my shipping cost is a visit to Roger to compare notes about shows. and props.  He is an excellent sequencer and a wealth of knowledge.

His pixels are 3.2", so they shouldn't be tight in the strips.

REal life experience says otherwise.  The problem is that sometimes the wires come out of the epoxy in ways that make that 3.2" work like a 2.9 and make the strip buckle.  Specs are one thing, actual experience is another.  I wouldn't say they would not work just that in some cases they are way to tight.

Real life experience as a customer says if I buy something that turns out to be false I return said item.

Ray's 100 string set has 4" spacing and they fit fine in the Coro strips at 3" spacing but they will not fit a 4" spacing. My mega tree lights with the colored wires 50 to a strip are so called 3" spacing but we're spaced in the mounting strips at 2".

What Jim says about real life is accurate so don't depend on 3.2 spacing to work on 3" strip mounting by experience it won't happen.

Good luck with that!! I returned stuff to Ray before and it was quite expensive to ship.

Of course that said I don't disagree - if I was expecting something and paid for it I would expect it to be as advertised.

I've tried a few different vendors for pixels on eBay and I had mixed results....ray has always been consistent for me - so a bit surprised to hear some of the nodes are spaced differently. Not shocked as I've only used nodes in my mini trees where I needed precision.

Thanks for sharing the experience with this. Interested to hear if others have noticed any inconsistency in the spacing.

I wasn't referring to Ray. It was actually directed towards the US vendors.

Sorry for adding confusion.
