There is a way to do it. You gotta select just one side of the effects. The easy method of doing that got broken a while back and I haven't had time to look into it. Used to be you could just drag a selection box around the right edges of the effects then hold down shift and drag them all which would move only the right edge of all the effects. I think we had problems with trying to select a group of effects and it not grabbing the whole effect so it was changed to highlight the whole effect if any part of the drag box hit it. That inadvertently broke the ability to highlight all the edges. But there is another way to select them. You can click the right edge of each effect but you gotta hold down the control key to add more to the group. So it means you gotta click each one to add it to the selection group then hold down shift to move all the edges together.
