Pix con 16 with xlights
« on: November 16, 2015, 08:57:48 PM »
I tried my Mega tree tonight.  200 pixels tall x 16  using all 16 outs of the pixcon16 with external 12v distribution
The first 12 outputs look perfect and are all in sync with a vertical chase.  The last 4 outputs lag the rest by a bunch.  If I run the chase really slow it is fine.

Running from a i7 laptop direct to board with multicast

Model looks fine output setup in Pixcon all looks the same

Model is set to start at Channel 1 output 24 ( universe 24 out 1)

Any thoughts where to find the lag?

I did try to address output 13 the same as 12 and saw no noticeable lag so it appears to be a xlights issue I think

Thanks

Ken

Windows isn't very good at trying to do things real time.  How many universes are you pumping out the PC?  That's why we all use the Falcon Pi Player since it can run your show without having to worry about executing the other 150 processes that windows is running.
