dimming curves altering colors in preview window?

Hey all,

Some of my controllers have gamma correction built in, but my J1SYS controllers do not... so I went into all of the models controlled by my p12s controllers and set the gamma correction to 2.2 for those models.  The problem is, when I go to put a warm white color on those models (R 255, G 103, B 23), the color just comes out red...  Is anybody else seeing the same thing?  Maybe I'm the only one  using warm white still?   

I was able to go in and change the dimming curves / gamma correction BACK to 1.0 and the color once again appears orange in the preview window, which has proven in the past to equal warm white out in the display.  At least it is not red...

Any thoughts?

A dimming curve causes the data that is saved to be altered.  So when we preview we use that saved data and I believe Dan is trying to use the dimming curve to reverse what would have been done to create the data.  Bottom line is maybe the reverse code isn't right but I'm afraid if you try to make it so you like it in the preview it will have no bearing on what you see on real lights.

Ok, thanks.  I need to get out there and watch more closely...  I went back and set them all to 1.0 and I am honestly not seeing a difference between the lights connected to controllers with gamma correction and those without (it is around 1/2 and 1/2 on the controllers as I have seven p12s without gamma correction and three advatek controllers and a couple sandevices controllers with it).  Video of the first song was posted here:
