Use the convert tab on the LMS file with the verbose channel mapping option not because you need the output of the conversion but because it will print out all the channels it finds and tell you how it's mapping them to the xlights channels you've setup.  Also you need to describe which of the 3 import methods you are using.  There are lots of ways to import data and effects so we don't know what you mean when you just say you imported something.

Have you set up the model definitions in xLights to match the LOR setup ?

There a are a few videos on the Wiki (LOR sub topic)   and a sub section in the manual

If I use the method Leechburg matches up his pumpkins with the LOR channels with his Xlights model, my model don't show up. If I import using the LOR Tab when starting a new sequence, my effects never render so I don't know if they are there or not.  What is this other method you are talking about?

When trying to add models for import, it's saying the channels are not part of the sequence and  not mapping channels for the sequence

go to the layout tab and click the start channel column. you now will see all your models and what channel range it has.
Verify these with LOR's channel assignment.
it really helps if the models in xlights are exactly the same as what you called them in LOR.

Learned something new there - that you can sort the models list by clicking on the column labels.  More good info.

Yes, I have defined all my channels because there are only sixteen regular light channels which are number and coincide with the assignments.  When I try to match up the models with the LOR, it doesn't even give me the options of doing so.  It offers up no models at all, and then I will even try to upload the mapping I saved and it won't even recognize that.  Last night, I downloaded an earlier version on Nutcracker and then tried to import an LOR sequence via the LOR tab.  It said the transfer was successful, but no effects on the sequence screen but when played, it shows the models going to the music.  It is truly a bizarre thing.

What is this "LOR" tab you keep talking about?

I don't see any screenshots in this thread to help know what you're doing.

You have not said anything about doing a conversion with the verbose option to get the channel mapping list.  You gotta follow my original response if you want any additional help.

I would really appreciate the help and can better explain on the phone what I am talking about.  I am currently away from that computer, but can explain what I mean on the phone is you don't mind calling.  My number is 661-373-5282.  Meanwhile, to best answer here until I am in front of the screen, I will describe better.

The Verbose print out was and is correct where the numbers match up with my models.

The LOR tab I am referring to is when you select a new sequence, select your media and to import from there are four or six tabs which the LOR is the upper left tab.  I click that tab and then select LMS file and on timings then hit DONE.  It brings me to the sequence screen where I then add all my models to the sequence.  I then save as whatever I name the file.  The screen never renders with my effects. When I hit play, my models play to the music, but still no effects on the sequence display.

If I import the way Clyde explains without selecting the LOR tab and imports his models on the mapping sheet, my models do not even appear to select where to map.  It's blank selection and if I upload the mapping I saved, it will tell me none of these are part of my sequence.

Sorry I'm at work and I'm going to be busy getting ready for a trip.  I leave Thursday for a week long hunting/camping trip.

For Clyde's import you need to have established a sequence and have all the models showing up on the sequencer grid first or there will be none available in the selections.

So the LOR tab you're referring to is a button that's available for doing an import during new sequence creation.  You don't need to do it there.  That basically creates a data layer which can also be done at any time later by going to Sequence Settings and then the Data Layers tab and using the Import button.  In fact I would try doing it after you create the sequence because that's how I always do it.  I'm wondering if it's a problem that we modified it to automatically render after the import.  I'm not sure I tested that during the new sequence wizard when the sequence technically doesn't exist yet until you hit the close button.
