renumbering channel numbers does not stick

I am using the latest build 4.3.00 and when in the layout tab I was trying to use the start channel box under the models to re-assign the starting channels.  It seems to work sometimes and then all of a sudden some models revert back to there old values .

Your description leaves too much guesswork.  I can't tell if you exited the program and forgot to save the models file so they were gone when you came back or what you were doing when they seemed to revert back.
